Terms and conditions for Making Shapes Amsterdam - bookings, memberships, cancellations and privacy.

1. General

These general terms and conditions apply to all services, workshops, memberships, and products offered by Making Shapes Studio, located at Meteorenweg 262, 1033HL Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

By signing up for a workshop, purchasing a membership, or using our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Workshop Registration & Payment

Workshop registrations are confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Spots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is binding once payment has been completed.

Prices listed on our website are inclusive of all materials, tools, and refreshments unless stated otherwise. Payment is processed securely through our payment provider Mollie.

3. Cancellation Policy — Workshops

Cancellation by the participant is not possible once payment has been made. In case you cannot attend, you may transfer your spot to another person by notifying us at least 24 hours before the workshop.

Making Shapes reserves the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum number of participants is not reached. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative date.

4. Memberships

Studio memberships are personal and non-transferable. Members gain access to the studio space, tools, and equipment during designated hours.

Membership subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled with one full calendar month written notice. Cancellation requests must be sent via email to studio@makingshapes.nl.

Making Shapes reserves the right to revoke or suspend a membership in case of misuse of studio equipment, violation of studio rules, or behaviour that endangers other members.

5. Liability

Participation in workshops and use of the studio is at your own risk. Making Shapes is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during workshops or studio use.

Making Shapes is not liable for the quality of finished pieces, as outcomes depend on individual skill and the nature of handcrafting processes such as firing and glazing.

6. Intellectual Property

Photos and videos taken during workshops may be used by Making Shapes for promotional purposes on social media, the website, and printed materials unless you explicitly opt out by notifying us before the session.

Workshop content, techniques, and materials provided are for personal use only and may not be reproduced or distributed commercially.

7. Privacy

Making Shapes collects and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect only the data necessary to provide our services: name, email, phone number, and payment information.

Your data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for payment processing or as required by law. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting studio@makingshapes.nl.

8. Disputes

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of The Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
